Eagan’s original first fire truck is still proudly displayed at our Fire Safety Center and used for parades each year. The 1942 Chevrolet was purchased in 1963 from the University of Minnesota, and it was originally a United States Army Fire Truck stationed at the Gopher Ordinance Plant in Rosemount.

Rescue Boat

Due to the number of lakes, ponds, and the Minnesota River. Eagan has two different boats, one is a 18' Alumacraft boat and the other is a Zodiac boat.

Kitchen Fire Trailer

Eagan houses the Dakota County Fire Chiefs Association Kitchen Fire Trailer, that was donated by Flint Hills Refinery. The trailer is used to educate the public on the dangers of fires in a kitchen, especially with cooking grease/oils. The demonstration shows how to prevent fires, and in the event of a fire, how to properly try to extinguish the fire while it's small. Never use water on a grease fire.

M Health Fairview Ambulance

The City of Eagan is covered by M Health Fairview ambulance for EMS calls. They house their rigs and crew at the old Eagan Fire Station Three.

Fire Safety Trailer

The Eagan Rotary Club donated the funds to purchase this Fire Safety Trailer. The trailer is used to educate the public on how to prevent fires and what to do in case of an emergency in their home.

Battalion Chief

The Battalion Chief responds to emergencies and functions as a firefighter and will assume command until relieved by a superior officer and will direct operations as assigned by command.

UTV Rescue

Eagan operates 2 2019 UTV's for off-road emergencies.

Mobile Command

Our Mobile Command Unit was built by LDV in Wisconsin in 2006 and is shared by Eagan Police and Fire. It replaced a converted school bus that was our first Mobile Command Unit.

Brush 2

Brush 2 is a custom designed brush truck for hard to reach areas like the Lebanon Hills Regional Park. It is a 2012 Jeep Wrangler with a special suspension and converted to a pick-up box with a factory kit. It has Ultra High Pressure Rosenbauer pump with foam and water tanks.

Reserve Engines 20 and 40

Engine 1

Engine 1 is a 2017 Sutphen Custom engine housed at Fire Station 1.

Engine 2

Engine 2 is a 2015 E-One engine housed at Fire Station 2.

Engine 4

Engine 4 is a 2020 E-One engine housed at Fire Station 4.
