Help Protect and Improve our Lakes and Ponds

We value our water in Eagan and want to keep pollution out of our lakes, wetlands, and ponds. You can do your part by adopting a storm drain near you. You can help prevent stormwater pollution and protect our water resources for current and future generations!

Ever wondered where our our stormwater goes? It drains directly to our water bodies. This means stormwater isn't the only thing entering lakes and ponds —  any debris on the ground goes with the flow. Rain or snowmelt runoff washes dirt, trash, yard waste, and other pollutants into storm drains. You can protect and improve our water by raking your yard waste away from streets and keeping grass clippings, pet waste, and trash out of roads.

Take it a Step Further and Adopt A Storm Drain!

Eagan encourages individuals, families, community organizations, and business groups to select a storm drain (or several) and agree to clear and bag grass, leaves, trash, and other materials that collect near their drain(s) at least twice a year.
