Housing Program Information
Housing assistance and improvement programs are coordinated for the City of Eagan by the Dakota County Community Development Agency (CDA). The Dakota County CDA provides services and information relating to first time homebuyer loans, down payment assistance, rental housing vouchers, senior housing, home rehabilitation and other programs. Foreclosure Prevention Assistance
The Mortgage Foreclosure Prevention Program (MFPP) provides free counseling assistance to help homeowners who are in or nearing foreclosure with referrals to additional resources and, in some cases, financial assistance. Homeowners work one-on-one with the CDA homeownership specialists to assess the situation and determine possible solutions. Please visit the CDA web site for more details or call (651) 675-4555. New First Time Homebuyers Program
Project Update: (July 10, 2009) the Give Yourself Credit Program has currently reached its funding limit and a waiting list has been created. For more information about this program, please see the homebuyer information page on the CDA website.
Rental Assistance Programs and Availability
The Dakota County CDA administors several rental assistance programs based on income and disability. Please visit the CDA website for Rental Assistance Programs or call (651) 675-4550.
The Dakota County CDA also provides a packet containing private rental housing availability that is updated weekly.
