Election Dates

Primary Election Moved to August

Due to the MOVE (Military and Overseas Voter Empowerment) Act, Minnesota’s Primary Election was held a month earlier, on August 10,  providing a 45-day absentee balloting period. Moving up the Primary date allowed more time for overseas voters to receive and send back absentee ballots in time to be counted.

The State primary election was held Tuesday, August 10,.  Election results can be found at the Dakota County Web site. There was no City of Eagan primary races. The Mayor and City Council candidates will be on the November 2 general election ballot. 

General Election

The General Election will be held on November 2, 2010.
