Engineering
The Engineering Division is centrally located within Eagan City Hall on the Municipal Campus, at the intersection of Wescott Road and Pilot Knob Road. This allows for convenient accessibility for City staff and the general public; physically, by telephone, or by visiting the Citizen Support Center. In addition, the Engineering staff is mobile to provide technical support of on-site requests or to provide enforcement. A permanent collection of records of all municipal improvements within or affecting the City of Eagan is located within our offices.

The City of Eagan’s Engineering Division is one of three divisions of the Public Works Department under the direction of the Public Works Director and is managed by the City Engineer.
The City Engineer, Assistant City Engineer, and Transportation Engineer provide the municipal, traffic, and utility experience of three skilled professional and registered civil engineers to the community.
Technical support is also provided through two Project Coordinators and three Engineering Technicians; collectively staff has an average of 20 years of experience in the municipal Civil Engineering field. A Construction Inspector provides additional quality control for City infrastructure and addresses erosion control.
The Water Resources Coordinator, Water Resources Specialist, and Water Resources Assistant collectively have an average of almost 15 years of water resources and stormwater management expertise that supports the City's nationally-recognized lakes and wetlands program.
Clerical support for the Engineering Division consists of one Engineering Aide and one Clerical Technician. Seasonal employees, who are typically students working through their respective college degree programs, supplement the Division.
